Boostbutton Flash modules for SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2
I would like to summarize which Boostbutton flash module to use from https://oshpark.com/profiles/BoostButton/page/2
Background
Latch EPROM chips are needed for SBEC and SBEC2 with a 377 PCB (aka SBEC2-377)
Latch chips are NOT needed for SMEC and SBEC2 with a 652 PCB (aka SBEC2-652)
SMEC uses the Flashable SMEC Module.
SBEC uses SBEC Flash Module. This has a built-in latch on the flash module
SBEC2 is a bit more complex. The SBEC2-377 board EPROM functions the same as the SBEC so you can use a SBEC flash module but need to jumper A15,RW and E (PRG is not used) two rows to the right as the SBEC2 EPROM is an 36 pin array rather than 32 of the SBEC. Another option is to order an SBEC2 flash from Rob M as these have not be released to the public domain.
The SBEC2-652 does NOT function with any of the Boostbutton flash modules. The good news is I have produced two prototypes flash modules that work with the SBEC2-652.

Great info miles. It all can get very confusing.

Just making sure but does Boost Button still program chips?
