Re: Found a supplier for pre-bent SS brake lines.
For anyone searching this thread in the future, please note that there is only a small difference between their PN for a Monte Carlo, and the Daytona/Shadow/etc. cars. They were cool and are allowing me to return the Monte kit. I ended up just needing the L/F line and the PN for that is as follows: EFB8801S
Note, that there is actually a guy who bends all of these by hand, and they don't have a machine that does it. It's crazy to me that it works that way, but it's kind of cool too.

I've done fuel lines and brake lines by hand on a Daytona. It's a pain getting everything to line up how the factory did it.

Same here. I'm wondering what tool I need to make the super tight radius 90 degree bend that is also super short where it comes out of the proportioning block in order to go to the l/f wheel. There is no way I could make that with my cheapo tubing bender.

I have this one and like it
you can grab right behind the tube nut and slowly bend the tube around the tool

this one looks good for multiple sizes

Hmm. I think Eastwood sells something like that, but I bet it's a heck of a lot more expensive.
Re: Found a supplier for pre-bent SS brake lines.
Those tools do look nice. I really wish I could find a tool like I saw years ago. A guy I work with who had a primary job as a hydraulic shop foreman had a tool with two handles which rotated about a center piece and allowed for nearly a 360* bend with minimal travel between the coils. It was super impressive, but he said they were also super expensive. Close to 20 years ago I think they were between 3 and 500 bucks depending on size. I would absolutely buy one of those in 3/16 if I could find one.
Re: Found a supplier for pre-bent SS brake lines.
last year I found a seller on ebay called modern muffler
it seems they've made a large effort to have brake SS lines made for a lot of things
I found them googling parts for my 01 f150 but they might well be worth speaking to
especially if they had the entire td/tm group interested ..
but I've always been ok making brake lines .. it's the prebent fuel line bundles I'd love to be able to get
Re: Found a supplier for pre-bent SS brake lines.
I went ahead and bought that Eastwood flare tool a few years ago, so I plan to make whatever I can to get my money's worth out of it. I have used it a couple times now, and it works very well.

MC to prop valve PN for an 88 Daytona if anyone is interested. EMC8801 that's for both of the lines. Mine came out to a little under $40 shipped for them in stainless.
