MPTune non Turbonator cals
This post is just to simplify the download of any stock cals i may disassemble and setup for MPTUNE that either have not been done before or that shelgame was not able to complete. It makes it easier than trying to find the download post in a multipage thread. i'll update these cals on a sporadic basis so if you ever want to use them make sure you always download the latest version. also, i am just hacking my way through this so there WILL be errors in labeling, ranges, etc. sorry....
the files can all be found at Non Turbonator Cals

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
Nice. I'll be doing the timing belt, seals, and water pump on the V6 this weekend, so I should be ready for more development of the 508 cal.

yep, that is another one i will post up. i've done a little more work on trying to figure out the EMR stuff and how we might fix that.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
added the 86 and 87 t1 files for review if anybody is interested.
-
Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
Cool, thanks for doing that

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
Awesome. Soon as my friend's '86 CS is back together, I'll start playing with the '86 T1 cal.
Just noticed the TCM file on there too, wonder if that will work to start playing around with my 91? I would guess so, since those didn't change much.

I have a couple of updates to do on that cal before you use it. Found some stuff while working on the 85 t1. I'll post both up this week.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
wish some of you could work on the Masi 16v cals.
-
Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
updated the 85 and 86 cals.
NOTE: these cals CANNOT be flashed to an ecu without doing BOTH the top/bottom chips. i modified the code slightly so the tables would be more accessible.
-
Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
added a first run on the 92v6 260 cal. this is a sbec2 cal . definitely a work in progress. no map/inj scaling set up. also need to ID a bunch of tables, especially the 3d tables.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
I have a 117 chip from a 1989 Caravan, 2.5T, 5 speed with cruise and a/c if anyone wants to dump it and post it.
Legs on chip are cut but there's enough to clip leads on to.
I would be willing to mail it if someone is interested as I have not come across 117 anywhere so far.

The Masi cal was mostly done. Maybe as kRob M. to post my old files. There were only a couple of tables that were unique to the Masi that made it difficult to 'port' over to the Turbonator SMEC code.

which cal specifically are you referring to? i see there is a T-SMEC 89 2.2 #124 cal. is it not functional?

well while I can drag points around for tuning, getting into the code and understanding it is way above my head.

I looked through them and didn't see it? Maybe didn't look in the right folder? I'm trying to help joelzip get his working, looks like it was based on a A837 cal?

The A124 is the 8v auto TC cal, I believe.
The 375 cal should be the 16v Masi cal everybody is wanting.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
hey morris, i was looking at the stock and MP glhs cals in the repository and they table files that are included dont have any definitions. can you make some mptune versions of those? those shouldnt be hard cause they are basically the same as 87t2 with a few differences.
thanks
Brian

actually, brian, i was just looking at both of those. with the trouble some are having with the turbonator versions of the glhs cals i decided i need to convert the stock cals to mptune. should be fairly easy since rob has most of the stuff identified already in the turbonator stuff. basically he added a couple new tables and some extra code.
i need to finish up the 2.4 masi 16v this week and get that posted. then i'll look at doing the other 2 over the next few weeks. it's about 99% done. just trying to get all the map and injector scaling set up.

exactly why i was looking for the stock GLHS versions of a cal..... cause some are having issues with the T-GLHS stuff.
thanks. :)

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
Yes. The 87 Shelby Charger GLHS cal is the same as the 86 (or close enough). The only one of the 87 Shelby cals not to get updated that year, since the 87 was going to be the last year for the GLHS.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
i guess i never answered your question morris. i just asked another question lol.
id say any of them. but especially the MP stage 2 and one of the years stock cal.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
so, i'll look at:
86_22_t2_mtx_017_GLHS
87_22_t2_mtx_641_CSX_MP_StageII
-
Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
Morris, I think you can just run those 2 cals thru my latest dis-assmbler (using my symbol file and table templates) and it will make the .mpt files for you. Pretty much completely...

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
thanks rob. i'll dig it up.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
added the stock 87 csx mp stg2 cal. all the data and scaling info is there for review. should only be used for reference. to be used as a working cal i need to remove the .org statements.

should you label it "reference" and then add the one with the .org's removed?
also, im guessing the GLHS is coming when you get time (dont feel rushed.... we need you to not feel rushed lol)

i suppose i should just get rid of the .orgs. that way people can just use it like a regular cal, e.g. scaling, add points, etc.

the glhs might be a couple weeks. my wife was gone for a few days so i was able to binge on the cal update work. she's home now.........................

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
ok, redid the mp stg 2 cal and commented out the .org statements as well as deleted several of the original filler tables to allow users room to now add/delete table points. so the scaling is all set up so they should be functional mptune based cals. i'ld love to have someone try it and see how it works. i did find one table in the t-lm version that was not set up to be scaled but looks like it should have been, and in fact is being scaled in the t-smec version (only 1 i checked). i believe it was the DeltaMapEnrichmentFromTemp2 table. not quite certain on that though.
-
Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
added the stock 86_22_t2_640_glhs_stgii cal. scaling is set up and should be able to be fully used in mptune.
**edit**
hang on. need to fix something first.
**edit again**
ok, fixed the cal above and also added the 86_22_t2_mtx_017_glhs cal.
both should be able to be scaled and points added.
give them a try.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
Wowzer, I started my tuning with the 87_22_t2_mtx_641_CSX_MP_StageII as my baseline. I am super green at this (just got a socketed LM and burner like 2 weeks ago) but I am starting to learn. I scaled for +40 injectors and 3bar map, starting, idle, cruise were all very good. Very rich under decel and very lean under part and full throttles. I have gone through a bunch of iterations now and have been adjusting the three tables as well as the PE curve to get a better AF ratio while driving. The only problem with the Cal I have noticed is it logs that one error DeltaMapEnrichmentFromTemp2 but it does not appear to affect the car. Just wanted to give some feedback on it.
Actually looking back I started with this Cal T_LM_22_MTX_A641_MPSTGII , not the one you listed above, sorry.
-
Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
Rich in vacuum and lean under boost means the map fuel tables should be adjusted. PE table is for when the AF changes due to rpms. Rich on decel with no throttle input means you need to pull fuel out of the fuel baseline table in high vacuum, IE above the idle vacuum. I typically pull fuel to nothing at 24 or 25 inhg.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
added the stock 92_25_t1_xtx_125 cal. tried to set up scaling the best i could.

Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals
Just out of curiosity was there any progress made on the 1990 masi 16v cal?
