Is there any update on this?
The last update I got was the last one I made. That was about a month ago already!
So this all has taken way longer than I imagined, or we were expecting.
I don't really know what the hold up has been, but I know John stays very busy.
I'm confident we will all be happy in the end.
When I get a chance, I'll ask him for an update.
Things are pretty busy for me right now too.

Who knows when and if there will ever be another group buy so here's your chance to get one. Total cost is 432.75, before these get sent to the buyers i can contact the manufacture and we can change the shipping to your address. Who wants the chance? Reply here so I don't get a bunch of pm's please.
I'll gladly take your spot. Send me a PM to work out the details.

paypal info sent. GLHS320 is the lucky one grabbing my spot that I will regret having to give up, at least the group buy was able to be done.

funds received, I sent John an email already to ship the shaft to you instead, and asked for a reply email to confirm the shipping address update. Wayne, if you speak with John before I get a reply (that I will update this post with to confirm for Mike),give him a heads up about my shipping address change in case he missed the email.
Re: Possible A413/31TH Billet Input Shaft Group Buy
Just wanted to pop in and say/ask about these shafts.
I have one from a previous batch, I purchased through Facebook transactions with Kevin W. and Dakota M.(boots). My shaft may or may not be the same specs, BUT after trying to install mine and measuring, I found out that the press fit shoulder on the read drum end is 0.010" larger OD than a stock shaft(which is already press fit) and made for an impossible install. It's claimed they were made larger to keep from tearing the splines from the drum.
I'd ask before they're finished what specs they're made to. Stock shafts are 0.9825" or so and my 904 billet was 0.9925" or so. Stock drum being smaller than 0.9825", but unsure how much at the moment. Recommended ANSI interference for that diameter size is 0.002" max.
I had steered some from Facebook to this thread for the last available shaft and was just looking back to see how it was going. I'm also in the process of putting my Trans together, so it's all fresh on my mind.

What have you done with the shaft? I have one of those.
Re: Possible A413/31TH Billet Input Shaft Group Buy
I had the drum measured with real tools at a machine shop and the shaft turned down to fit. I also had the thrust end polished, since it had been center punched 4 times to "number" it. The shaft was turned to 0.985", drum heated and pressed together at the machine shop. He said he measured the drum at 0.983"

I personally spoke with John today over the phone about the shipping address change, and also he is expecting the shafts to ship real soon.

Wayne,
Sorry for lack of updates. I had to find a new place to spline the shafts as the old one sold out several years ago. We are back on track and they are getting finished up.

Roadkill's zip tie drags are coming up in January. I hope I can get my input shafts in enough time to get them installed so I can race.

This posting is disturbing.
Did he not know the company was out of business before accepting the job? I know, you are just the middle guy.

John also told me there are a couple extra. So if you've been watching and waiting until the last minute, you better not wait much longer...
