Steering Rack interchange
I have a 1989 Daytona Shelby and I am looking for a rebuilt steering rack. I recently heard Neon racks are a direct fit. Are there any others? Unfortunately it is becoming difficult to find a rebuilt rack for my car.
I have read some posts about the re-builder in MN. So I am trying to find one first.
Thanks, Jason

I got my last one from rockauto.com
Re: Steering Rack interchange
Was it a Cardone rack? And does it work well?
Thx

Re: Steering Rack interchange
I started a thread about this recently. Your best bet is to send it off for a rebuild. I wouldn't use a Neon rack, as they are a very slow ratio. The Neon guys switch to our racks frequently for that reason.

I saw. Thank you.

I did get the cardone one but I converted it to a manual rack before I installed it, I couldn't say how good it would have been. Works well as a manual rack in my racecar tho.
