Re: JT and Silent Tom's 1989 Plymouth Voyager Turbo / 5-Speed
Update: After last years success with the smaller turbo we decided to swap on a different T3/T4 hybrid (thanks CobraT93 for the loaner!) and went to GLDs opening day last Sunday. Yes, 3 track days and 3 different turbos, LoL! The van liked the larger turbo but had some issues. We did get a new best of 11.13@130mph and had an almost better run that ended up at 11.14@126mph due to JT cheesing 3rd gear. The trans wasn’t too happy.
Yesterday we tore the trans apart to see what we could find. Nothing catastrophic but some areas for improvement. After some refinements it was back together and ready to go.
Weather looked good today so headed out again to GLD opening week test n tune. First few runs had issues from traction, motor mount, MAP, data log BSOD boost control, etc. Then it finally came together 10.74@132mph! We are beyond excited with these results!
Thanks to TurboRon 25 for helping crew today!

10.74? 132mph? That's insane for a van. I'm beyond impressed.
Why the photo of the shift fork pads?
Re: JT and Silent Tom's 1989 Plymouth Voyager Turbo / 5-Speed

Project badass minivan update - after several passes quicker than 11.50 it’s time to add some weight in the name of safety - JT and Silent Tom drug the welder out to the driveway and are installing a roll bar and shoulder harnesses in the minivan

Nice. Is there a class requirement on points etc for the 10s?
I just built an 8pt cage in my Scout II. 80% 2" DOM. Turned out freaking heavy.
