Would the external wastegate boss on a TU cast header give an accurate reading of drive pressure?
I hope so, that's where I'm placing mine!!
Thanks
Randy
Well, I guess that is where I will try.
I think almost anywhere in the meat of the exhaust mani should be fine, although most aim for just before the inlet of the turbo.
Turbo inlet seems like it would be best but I've read up on others location experience.
Some tried various locations including EGR block off plates plates and found no difference.
The "meat of the manifold" is no doubt a prime concern.
Thanks
Randy
Thanks Rob. I thought I had seen a mention before like it would be most accurate being perpendicular to flow. I was hoping that the wastegate boss wouldn't be enough in line with the cylinder 2 port to make a difference.
I'm going to use the sorta boss right before the flange for an EGT. I'm not sure how crowded it might be for another tap. I considered the turbine housing itself too.
I think any of the spots should be a better reading than no reading.
