Assembly Lube/Paste
Allo,
Gonna be re-ringing the 2.2 in my GLH, and due to the weather, I will not have the opportunity to start/seat rings for a few months. Last time I used a very thick assembly oil, but I was going to be starting it soon after completion... This time, i'm hoping to use a paste-style lube, which will stay on thee journals and not eventually leak down into pan.
Now, looking for suggestions on paste-type assembly lube.... what's good/what's sh!t? opinions?
Thanks,
Dominic

Run it with that for about a hour. then drain the oil
let it get good and warm and rev the motor .
comes out like greese.

Re: Assembly Lube/Paste
I acquired a bunch of Royal Purple Max-Tuff assembly lube from work and I have had good luck with it.
