WANTED: 1986 LeBaron dash. Prefer digital...my odometer is bad
Inherited a pristine 1986 LeBaron convertible from grandpa who passed away last year at 101. Can't tag the car because odometer only registers dashes (-----). Exhausted every u-pull salvage yard, parts store, dash repair, custom gauge cluster service you can imagine. Can't find the replacement chip, or even analog dash, let alone a digital. Believed to have 85,000 and from the way it runs, I believe it. I've been trying for 6 months to get this thing fixed and I could really use some help, but I'm not savvy enough to weld/solder joints if needed. lots of great info on here, but could use a helping hand. Thanks.
Re: WANTED: 1986 LeBaron dash. Prefer digital...my odometer is bad
Mine does that occasionally. I've heard it's supposed to happen if it exceeds the limits of the odometer or if it's tampered with. An analog cluster won't plug right in, but it would display a mileage.
Re: WANTED: 1986 LeBaron dash. Prefer digital...my odometer is bad
Exactly. All I need is something I can put in there so the DMV can see it and I can get an antique/historic tag. I don't care if it displays 200,000 miles even though mine has 85K. I just need it tagged.

Anyone have an analog dash I could just borrow for a few days? I'd buy it if necessary.
