1984 Turbo for Stock Eliminator
I am not new to turbos but new to ones this small. I can do any modification to the turbo as long as the inducer and leading edge of wheel is the stock diameter +2mm
E = 1.683 Compressor wheel diameter 1.707 Compressor housing diameter
This is a draw through type turbo.
What is the nomenclature of this one.
I will be trying to turn the motor as hard as possible and stalling the convertor where it makes peak power. I'll be on engine dyno this winter beating on this motor. I'm yold that rpm will be peak power around 5000 to 5500 and peak RPM around 7500 to 8000
I would like to buy some stiock core parts
looking for a few common blocks and 2.2 cranks

Best of luck. Can you bore outthe throttle body? That is the incredibly huge bottle neck in the system.
Re: 1984 Turbo for Stock Eliminator
If rules allow, do some work on the throttle body for sure. Either way, having the ais open 100% at high throttle wouldn't hurt.

nope You can not modify the throttle body

If the throttle body as after the turbo than you can do a lot more. I am going to get the turbo built and put the max on the compressor side and go dramatically bigger on the turbine side
I am looking a some of the original stock eliminator build and they were turning extremally high rpms
If you are allowed to change the 2 1/4" stock style swing valve, put a Mandrel exit on it!
Also, make sure to run a high PR compressor wheel, so Taller if possible, as your pulling through the restriction of the TB and wanting as much boost as possible.
I may have a solution to this over the next year as I have been working out a stock sized bolt on Billet compressor for this application that should be capable of 300WHP+ and 40psi
