Re: TCE Performance big brake kit
Yes, the calipers are similar, but not the same, IIRC. Making adapters for the later uprights would make the most sense. Bolt-in bearings, better ball-joint geometry, and the adapter for the brakes bolts on. There WAS a big brake kit for R/T's that used the Neon SRT-4 Willwood front parts, but I don't know that more than 1 or 2 was ever made. I want 13" rotors anyway...

True racing type hardware...aluminum hat with floating rotor.
Re: TCE Performance big brake kit
Parts are being fabricated as we speak

I have the worst phone in the world. I can't even figure out how to send pictures in text messages or E mails. I did find out today that I have 6 piston calipers and not 4 pistons as I originally thought. :)
Re: TCE Performance big brake kit
Great! Now, get them to do it with 13" rotors and I'm a buyer!

I'm sure Todd will do them with whatever size rotors you want.

Re: TCE Performance big brake kit
This is great, just fell on this post. Never wanted to go 16". But now??? Maybe

Can you explain better geometry? Curious. I thought they were the same

The ball joint is pushed down about 3/4" on the later knuckles making it better for lower cars. It is noticeable. I should weigh both knuckles with calipers on them. Frankly, I don't think there's all that much difference. The caliper brackets aren't as heavy as they look on the later pieces, but it is unsprung weight...
I need to break down and make an adapter bracket for Viper calipers so I can use those if for nothing other than looks. CSX VNT #42 could maybe use the braking if I went with a big enough tire and upped the boost some. At 11PSI, with a 225/45r16 Toyo tire, the stock brakes with the proper fluid and pads are adequate for 20min track sessions.
Re: TCE Performance big brake kit
I have a full set of Viper calipers sitting in a box downstairs. If you want measurements or anything, LMK. I am VERY interested in adapter brackets for them. If you don't do it, I will...eventually.
Re: TCE Performance big brake kit
Aren't they just rebadged Brembo units? I've looked it up before, and all the technical info is there. I just need to take a pair of knuckles into class and get busy.
