For the right price I will include my daytona dealership package; framed daytona poster, daytona match-box and un-cut "Daytona" key + keychain.
I have seen very few first gen Daytona's as nice as this one. It seriously hurts to even make this ad, I really don't want to sell it but I have no choice.
I could be forgetting something because this list is gigantic and I can't remember every part I have for it. If you want more pictures just ask. Make me an offer, the worst I can say is no. I will add pictures of engine bay once engine is back in the car.

Re: 1985 Daytona Turbo - $5000 OBO
Dropping my price to $3500 with everything, $3000 without custom plenum. I seriously need this car gone ASAP.
Alright, here are some pics of the underside. The rust damage isn't too bad, but it needs some TLC. I haven't washed the car for quite a while so it is really dirty. There is no rust above the rocker panels anywhere on the car, it's only on the bottom of the car.
Drivers side is worse than pass side.

In front of drivers side rear wheel (this is the worst spot by far):

Under drivers side (most of this is surface rust):

Re: 1985 Daytona Turbo - $5000 OBO
Approximate pricing of just the hard engine parts:
Donor 87 T2 Engine: $200
Engine, crank, rods machining: $600
Forged Wiseco pistons: $425
2 piece intake: $200
Port work on lower half: $150
Lengel plenum: $350
Lengel rebuilt tbody: $150
Acannell's tbody spacer: $100
Acannell's coolant mod: $60
Stainless lines: $100
Rebuilt garrett: $450
Ported Exhaust Manifold: $125
Billet fuel rail: $125
Accufab AFPR: $130
+40 injectors: $200
DC race head: $1000+
Custom wires and cap: $90
Fidanza cam gear: $100
New roller rockers: $60
New roller cam: $100
Beehive springs: $100
Pt lifters + shims: $60
160 amp alternator: $150
So that's $4,900 just in parts for the engine, that doesn't include the cost of gaskets, small parts, searching for parts, hours and hours of assembly time, etc.
So I'll sell you my engine for $3500 and throw the car in for free, which includes a $1000 stereo system and a $500 alarm, not to mention the extra parts including gauges and intercooler and piping etc.
Sorry if this post seems upset but I can't believe nobody wants this car. This price is a steal. I'm asking less than it would cost you to build the engine and I'm giving you the whole car.
Re: 1985 Daytona Turbo - $5000 OBO
I've been there.
For months, I couldn't sell my running car with working a/c
http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...186&highlight=
So I parting it out.
http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...car&highlight=
For your car, either make it run or part it out.
I would part it out as you'll make more money this way and it'll keep you busy. You'll start seeing money come in as soon as you decide to part it out. That would help ease the pain.
Re: 1985 Daytona Turbo - $5000 OBO
I know, parting it out would be better but it's hard to ruin this car, I wanted to see it go to a good home and get finished like I never could.
I'm giving it another day, if nobody bites by tomorrow night I'll close this and post up a part out thread.
