Three day bracket race, Made 15 passes, Laser ran Great.
Went to a Bracket marathon, made 15 runs, lost the last in the semi-finals to a 78 year old Grama, really!:) We both broke out, but me by more.
Temps were in the 100's, 104 degrees on Sunday, So the track was greasy.
No personal bests, but Laser was very consistently in the 9.85-9.88 @144 all weekend. Did absolutely NO maintenance, Just filled fuel and cool-down.
Only was able to use 30 lbs. boost, to keep them from bouncing me for not having a license (was surprised they let me run under 9.99). The new converter is the BOMB.
I'm dying to crank up the boost to about 55psi, but it is so reliable and consistent maybe I shouldn't mess with it?.........Ah Who am I kidding, I'm cranking it up!

Way to Go Warren! And I bet she only drives it on weekends too!
Looking forward to hearing about your further adventures!
And thanks for the info/help you've provided for the auto trans in my wagon (that Rob has been working on)!

Wow. That is phenomenal! We are just as anxious to hear when you do crank up the boost!
Did you happen to find a second 300M input shaft, or just the one?
Who is the converter manufacturer?

The Gramma's car was a 2001 Trans Am with a LS small block power. She dialed a 11.40. On the turn off to the return road I pulled over and stopped to put my "wheelie" bar up, she stopped and put her window down to ask me what happened; I said "you just kicked my a$$" that's what happened:lol:. We had a good laugh!
Hope your trans works good...

Thanks,
The awesome part was not having to fix a broken car, I think I'm getting this car pretty much sorted out.

Only found one 300m shaft, they are scarce as hens teeth. Converter was done by A1, first iteration was way too tight, took it out and sent it back for redo, and they knocked it out of the park!

Cool!
A better input shaft is on my list. I'll need to invest in that for my next rebuild (hopefully a few years down the road after this recent one! )
I need to get a few things sorted before i can tell if i need a converter change, but i suspect I'm not near optimized.
I guess a dyno graph is an essential component in properly specifying a converter build, along with other details...

Re: Three day bracket race, Made 15 passes, Laser ran Great.
So if you were consistant at 9.85ish, dialed in as such and then broke out by more than Grandma, how did you not come away with a new PB beating your old 9.82?;) Nice work, 55PSI goal, sheesh:wow1:

Cause I've gone quicker than 9.82, but I don't have the time slip so it don't count in my book.(long story) And, on Sunday they would not let me dial quicker than 10.00, so I was sand-bagging until I got beat by Gramma.
There were two runs that might have been PB's but I let off to prevent a breakout. If that makes any sense.
I don't know if you bracket race much, but you live or die by thousandths, not hundredths or tenths. I ran, and won with a 9.902 on a 9.89 dial, with a .051 light. Not the best RT but good enough in that round.

Re: Three day bracket race, Made 15 passes, Laser ran Great.
I'm more of a gas/brake/turn in guy but I've done a bit of 1320 Warren. Enough to know that any .0XX is a good light, don't sell yourself short! You'll be knocking on 8's at 55Lbs. Is it just a matter of recerting your cage/safety/fire suppression to 8.XX?
