8V head cracked, but is it bad?
Last night I started tearing down one of my last 8V cylinder heads for the machine shop, and noticed a crack by one of the lifter bores. Poor picture I know, but it goes down into the oil port in the lifter bore, and all the way down the back side of the oil galley casting. Question is, is the head still useable, or do I need to find another?

I had one crack just like that. Mine kept getting worse until it got to water, then game over.

Yes seen that too. In my case it didn't reach water yet, but that lash adjuster wouldn't pump up properly and the follower wanted to kick off repeatedly. For some strange reason it always seems to be that lash bore with the arrow next to it. Close to middle of head may be sign of warped head/deck of block.

Well, dropped off another one at the machine shop pulled off a junkyard car. Crossing my fingers, I'm out of good cylinder heads. They're getting tough to find.
