More on that later

Was happy to see it on facebook. I would be happy with the results based on what went in. Probably healthier then my Holset Spirit. Side note about headgaskets. I also tried copper wire on an old cometic that had previously leaked. When the copper wire let go the cometic melted its outer thin layer.
BTW if you have another ride its time to start breaking drivetrain parts at the track.

Yeah im gonna 2nd Brent's last statement..
Congrats on the dyno.
Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
yeah the caddy seems nice and reliable
im in the market for big cams! ed wont sell his :/
i have 46# injectors for sale. high impedence gm style. they came from ZZP. flow matched and all. should do 350-400hp on pump gas.
turbo cams and injectors are on my thought list. 99% chance im playing semi pro nppl in 2013 so i have to budget.
kinda thinking 60mm inducer, .68ar exhaust housing ptrim. not much info right there but thats a little bigger than the compressor i was looking at.
i want 400whp with 450whp capability. the cars in my "mexico" video would have lost to me with 400whp and a gutted interior
also need to look into stiff rear springs and subi coilovers up front. i have polly front end and 255s but the car is not tight enough. had to set off on my last run against the s4 and turbo 4.6 mustang just to stay safe. prolly could have kept it straight but slight corners while wot is stupid in a 300 hp dodge
Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
Congrats on the NPPL thing.... never know with stuff like that, sometimes ESPN or someone is looking for something "different" and all of a sudden there's real money flying around.
Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
hey thanks man. Not sure why we are playing D1. The team im playing on has beaten the current D1 champs so i guess thats reason enough..
looking at turbos now. this could get ugly.

the first one being $600 is the easy choice for my wallet. 6262 seems to be more of a fad right now than anything else. puts out power but people who dont even know about turbos think the 6262 is the beeeez kneez for whatever reason
Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
assuming headfkow is not an issue, how do i calculate how far a cam will put my power in the rpm band?
looking to rev out to 7000-7500rpm. 7000 peak hp would be preferable. dont want to push into 7500rpm often.
going with turbovanman for the cams. 270duration 429lift or 280 duration 435 lift
thinking 270 will do the trick.
Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
Hmmm, not sure if that's a sensible question, since if you have infinite flow, you only need the cam open for half a degree...
I think you need to start with a number for head flow and see if the cam keeps the valve open long enough to fill the cyl at target RPM.

Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
I haven't got the right numbers, however, I've seen it tossed around that the stock port flows over 200 cfm at 310 lift. Then I've seen Brent saying something like 250 at 400 for his mild port job, and I dunno if it's the lift or the porting making the extra... anyway... these are lifts at teh valve, and I dunno how they translate from cam lift, which has been an arguing point before...
Spitballing from a 310 stock actual lift, then it seems 270 only gets you about 400-425 cc in the cylinder at 7500 on a bone stock head. However, bumpage from extra lift, and a simple clean up and valve deshroud would seem to put it in the right area...
... though I'm wondering now, if peak filling = peak torque... and peak power could be way up there... however, it also depends on how the timing is set and the dynamic compression ratio.

Sounds like 270 is the way to go. Ive always heard the stock head shows nice improvement from more lift

i faked the sale of my car tonight haha. takes the pressure off me. its just been sitting in the driveway. wont start on summer blend ethonol but i changed some settings up because i think i can get it to fire up and idle if i try hard enough. Last time i drove it was after the dyno day, rev limiter down the entire road. it might rod knock when it starts for all i know.

anyways, i bought this V V which means less money for this ^ ^ but ill figure it out in the summer. its hard to not drive it when its nice out, i miss the feeling of a turbo kicking in.

Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
I thought I smelt some BS on facebook....that's why I didn't comment haha. A Luxe sounds like a pretty nice marker, 1.0 or 2.0?
Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
1.0 with 2.0 eyes and bolt
I cant help but start some upset on facebook
Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
Haha, $650 bucks wouldn't cover the time for install, tuning and parts of the MS with the other parts you've got. But now you at least know how many of your friends want the Duster, now they can't talk ---- lol
I guess that makes it a Luxe 1.5 I suppose? Can't remember how that works but I think its just swapping the 2.0 parts to a 1.0 unless there's any kind of software upgrades needed. Must be one hell of a gun, I know the price tag is pretty high but seems like a lot of people like them.
Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)
they are really pricy.
yeah $650 caused alot of rage lol Now i can take my time and come back out of nowere with a little more power.. that or a rodknock
