Re: 1989 Daytona Twin turbo 440 big block
Sweet! and nice work on the 'pentastar' driveshaft loop! ;)
Re: 1989 Daytona Twin turbo 440 big block
Sweetness!
Just needs shinier valve covers. ;)
Re: 1989 Daytona Twin turbo 440 big block
Is that legal? Is that safe? Heck man thats deadly. Dunno If I would want a 8 sec or less Daytona..... Oh heck ya I would!
Re: 1989 Daytona Twin turbo 440 big block
Damn, I can't see the pics at work... It sounds sweet! I will have to remember to check it out from home...
Re: 1989 Daytona Twin turbo 440 big block
looks sweet! one thing I notice though, what size down pipes are those? They look like they might be a bit small in pic two, but I could be wrong.

The motor is .060 over (453 ci) 8.75:1 pistons, ported 906 heads, ISKY BB turbo cam. fuel and timeing will be controlled by A Holly comander 950 MPI system.
Re: 1989 Daytona Twin turbo 440 big block
looks sweet, tho that driveshaft loop works better in the front:eyebrows:, lol just buggin ya, very cool tho. I'm surprised how well the 440 actually fits in that engine bay. Lol, I thought the 440 in my satellite was a pita to work on, can't imagine one with turbos in a daytona.:thumb:
Boost, 8.75:1, 906's and a holley efi controller seem a bit skiddish of a setup to me. How much $ is 100 octane gas these days anyway?;)

Re: 1989 Daytona Twin turbo 440 big block
Is there room for a radiator with that monster intercooler in there? Well I guess I know what to do with my daytona when the floors are clear gone.

Wow, that sooo makes me want to do that to my Z! :thumb:
Re: 1989 Daytona Twin turbo 440 big block
So will we see it at SDAC??? Even if it didn't get off the trailer just yet I'd like to see all the details you can't see in pics...
Re: 1989 Daytona Twin turbo 440 big block
love the project! one question though. the exhaust manifolds... are they for mockup or are they final... the runner/plenum style isnt the best for flow on the exhaust side. just something to think about.
