Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
have you looked at the "autocalcellx" locations and the "ValueFromAdaptiveMemory" locations? the first locations mentioned store the modifier for a limited matrix of rpm/map(?) values. the program reads from these cells based on rpm/map(?) and stores it into the second location mentioned which is used for fuel PW. i think this is how it works............

Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
I will load those up and give them a try. Thank you!
On an unrelated note. AFF was working then I changed the decimals from two to zero. After that I started getting this error anytime I try to load AFR gauge even after changing it back to two decimal places.
I reloaded MPScan and selected "repair" and it didn't help.
Any ideas? I know i'm a pain!

Update all the layout files.

I loaded MPScan just now and let it sit. I did not see it update. Is there a way to force an update?
I'm on 2.0.4.7
Thanks.
Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
*facepalm* I closed the program then it did the update!

Hello Neighbor. I live on 88th and another member is 5 minutes away.
Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
Hello,
I found this thread describing the same thing I am trying to figure out. I am using MPSCAN on an 89 TSMEC Cal and I cannot find any fuel trims available for the display gauges. My version is 2.0.5.5.
I did see the TRIMS under the SBEC option but cannot find a way to export it over to SMEC.
Is there a way to data log the Fuel Trims with a SMEC?
Thanks
Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
Add 13 new "Vertical Bar" gauges and assign them "Cell 0" through "Cell 12"
These are the autocal cells and will tell you your fuel trims in 6 different vacuum zones and 2 different RPM ranges.
Cell 12 is your closed throttle or Idle cell and will tell you how far off your fuel trims are at idle.
The breakpoints are defined in the cal in Fuel-> Adaptive Controls. RPM is DeltaRPMAtRPMBoundariesInRPMOver32 and the map breakpoints are AutoCalMapCellBoundary1 through AutoCalMapCellBoundary5.

Thank you Brian!
I will get to it asap.
I am still playing with MPTUNE LOL.

Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
Hello
I set up my layout with the 12 gauges. The 12 gauges are not reading anything. Not sure if I did it right. I added them to an existing layout that worked and created a new profile. The previous gauges are working.
Any thoughts? Do I have to create the entire profile from scratch?
Thanks
Jason

Update:
I did create a new layout and profile and the same thing happened. None of the 13 Cells are reading. Hmm.
Thanks
Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
hmmm not sure. I have only been logging them with mpscilink and mpscandroid. I will have to do a test.

Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
Brian,
I think I got the gauges to work.. Here are what my first five cells are set at: (Did not touch them in the cal under Adaptive Memory)
Auto cal Map cell boundary 1 = -10.32 psi
Auto cal Map cell boundary 2 = -8.301 psi
Auto cal Map cell boundary 3 = -6.053 psi
Auto cal Map cell boundary 4 = -3.459 psi
Auto cal Map cell boundary 5 = -0.865 psi
I do not know the details for the other cells (6 through 11) are. Ex: Delta RPM at RPM Boundaries – 2.0 Out.
I can't translate the Auto Cal Factors Table LOL
Thanks,
Jason
Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
i believe the other cells are the same vacuum values, but above the RPM point....
and i dont think they are 123456, but 02468-10 below the RPM point and 13579-11 above the RPM point.

Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
Hello,
I finally Datalogged. Of course I am little confused LOL. Here is a link to my numbers in Excel and MPL File:

Any help with explaining the changes I need to make would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: SMEC Fuel Trim logging
looking at the majority auto cal cells, the ecu is pulling ~20 percent fuel to stay around 14.7 at part throttle/vacuum. you could stand to scale for a larger injector size (10% or so) and see if the auto cal cell values drop. you are pretty rich up top so it may get that a little closer but keep an eye on the wideband like a hawk.
after its not pulling so much fuel in vac, then you can start tuning the pumping efficiency table so that at WOT your air fuel is constant and safe (around 11.5 in boost) across the RPM range.
Attached is a pic of what the autocal system affects and which cell is targeting which MAP/RPM range. outside of the max high and low MAP and RPM boundaries, there is no fuel correction.
