Door modification
my wife and I am in the process of restoring a 1984 Dodge 600 ES Turbo Convertible. I managed to acquire a driver side door but would still like to replace the passenger side. A local yard does have an 86 Lebaron coupe that has a drivers door in excellent shape.
Question is, has anyone modified the coupe door for use in a convertible?

Re: Door modification
The doors are built differently from what I've been able to tell unlike the Shadows which are modified from a coupe into a drop top.

I'm not sure where you guys are located, but I've got a decent door in my basement. I can take pics if you're interested in making the trip.

Re: Door modification
We live in the Metro-Detroit area so its quite a drive but we may head that way in the spring. If you plan on selling the door before then please let us know.
I can get that 86 Lebaron door for $60 complete, so we are considering picking it up and attempting to cut down to a convertible door. It looks like Dodge just cut the stock coupe door down and spot welded some parts in so it may be possible.
We have a Michigan car so the bottom of the door is pretty much rotted away so there is also the posibility of cutting the bottom Lebaron door off and splicing the two together. Only time will tell.
