My DD has a compact spare and I would like to replace with a full spare.
It appears if I cut off the sheet metal prop, a full spare should drop in.

Full size fit my Daytona and Omni just fine, are you sure it won't fit?

'blocks to wedge it in" isn't good enough the spare must be bolted down for safety
I've found the LARGE (3x3?) plastic T nut thingy that came in some cars will work just fine as it will fit down into the lug nut hole in the wheel and thread down on the stud for the jack & spare
(not refering to the small flater T nut (1x2) found in some cars)
a 205 60 15 will fit a daytona's spare well but a 205 50 15 will NOT fit a charger well
Well the prop is cut out and spot weld are ground flat and a the prep work is not drying.
My 205 50 15 fits with lots of room, Now I need to look at my wheel inventory to see who goes with me
Crabs? Pumpers? Turbo Star? Steelie?

If a person is in an accident bad enough to dislodge a spare tire from the well and enter the passenger compartment, a spare tire flying around is most likely not something one will have to worry about. lol... don't be so sure
stopping from 40-45 mph to 0 in about twenty inches will probably launch the spare if it isn't attached to the trunk floor
stove in the side of the airostar van that pulled across in front of me about 16-20 inches - the same distance my first blue daytona took to stop
that did launch the airostar about 30 feet sideways .. the whole van ..
shortened the passenger front corner of my car about 2 1/2 feet , not counting the 4 inches the pass side frame rail moved back under the pass front feet and seat taking the floor with it ( A lot of stretching of floor pan)
I caught the van on about a 45* angle as it tried to pull across into a driveway
an 89 nose with no rebar dosen't make much of a bumper .. but it might work as an air bag if you pump it full of foam first
.. I heard the nose go pop first .. before the almighty bang .. which was followed by the realization the windshield was "kinda cold" as I hit it with my head ..
still just glad it wasn't kinda sharp too...
