Thanks Simon. I'm shadow t2 on TD.com Currently out of spacers, but I might make another run of them. I'm just trying to guage how many(qty) to make for the next run. If Frank & Cliff already have it covered that's cool too.

Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
We never got any made... been busy and we could never get enough interest to keep the machining within reasonable reach.

If you really want to make some more, do a poll in this section and you can figure out how many if any, are to be made.

Well if you post in the thread I made in the Neons.org forum, I bet you could safely do another 15 unit run.

Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
Thanks guys. I'm not really itching to run them at the moment as the mini has my hands entirely full. This winter however would be a great time for another run. I'll probably be runnin lots of government jobs at the shop anyway, as I may attempt the 16V stratus head swap including brackets, etc to TRY to keep my A/C. Picking a head complete upper half this weekend with cams, intake, exhaust, etc. for $50.00. Like a sore dong, hard to beat.

Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
I'll take 3 or 4 if someone will do them.
Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
I need one soon or I'm going to have to get it machined for myself.
Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
I am going to reattempt to do these after thanksgiving maybe... dont know.
Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
New to the group,
I'm an engineer, and in my new position with a company I just got hired on to, I have access to the entire shop. I would be interested in thickness that the spacer needs to be, because I have an A413 tranny, and I bought an OBX, and need the spacer. The tanny is going into a 1994 Sundance. The 2.2L has bad rod bearings, and I repalcing that with a 2.5L. I am using this vehicle over the winter in place of my 2005 Neon SRT-4, that I do not want to even attempt to drive in the winter here in Central New York.
If someone could tell me the thickness of this ring gear spacer, and if there is an Interest for several, I could have a small batch run off made out of steel. The steel material is dependant on thickness, though.
I have several options of cutting the material, but I am tending toward the laser as it leaves an "okay" finish, but depending on the final finish, I will either leaving it as such, or doing a final reaming on bolt hole pattern with only a minor touch up to the inside and/or outside edges.
In either case, I could really use the thickness, because I intend on getting this tranny back into the car by the end of the month...
Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
I'll be needing one also so if this actually goes thru give me a shout!
And the sooner the better. :thumb:

Where in central new york are you? I am in Rochester, and my father owns a performance tranny shop in Syracuse. We may be interested in a couple of those spacers if you make them. My dad is building a 413 now with a phantom grip, but we may switch to the OBX for the next one if we can get a hold of the spacers.....
Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
I'm in Auburn, New York, but work in Syracuse, right by Carousel Mall. I also run a design company, called Nemo's Design (no web page).
But if someone could step up with a thickness dimension, I could have a large batch made out of steel in couple weeks. Again, depending on the thickness, they can be made out of anything ranging from 1040 to 4340 steel.
I don't want to put a price on them until I know the thickness.
The laser cuts a real nice finish, with only moderate need for touch up.
Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
Keep me informed I'll probably use 3 or 4 of them.
Thanks
Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
Well peoples,
Got the dimension needed for the OBX ring gear spacer. I had to pull a stock unit out and and OBX unit, and do a work up on them to gauge out the necessary thickness needed. I ran it through my 3D CAD tool, Autodesk Inventor, and got a nice model and drawing of it. I will see if I can't get a run on them within a week or two max. Just depends on production scheduling.
For those interested, I plan on making between 10-16 pieces, depending on how many will fit on a 48" square sheet...
Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
Bravo man. I just was way to busy to do anythign about it. Here is the design I had.

http://www.turbo-mopar.com/temp/bottom.jpg
The lips would allow no play of the ring gear to the spacer, and the groove ont he bottom of the spacer would allow no play on the carriage. Bolts would have to be special so you dont end up with 24 bolts. as I dont like having the spacer carry all the load unless it is made out of steel, but then is heavy.

DBB Mini's are steel. Why doesn't someone PM him, I am sure he was the drawings on file.

i also need one if anyone has one or is gonna make some please PM me
Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....
I gave up on them and passed my data to someone else to make them for cheap.
