I know my brother's old '89 Lebaron GTS (a factory TII/A555 car) is still around here locally somewhere. Last year I went to a local auto-x event and an old friend asked me if I was interested, but I have too much on my plate. It sounds like it still runs fine, but I imagine it's a little rough around the edges. But it would be cheap I'm sure. I can try to find out more.

It's changed hands a few times since my brother owned it. It was originally dark maroon/cherry with dark red leather interior. Last I knew it still had the original TII engine, and was sporting an A568 manual trans (better than A555 imo). It has also been repainted, but in flat black. Not a bad job, but not my style personally. It is rust free and straight last I knew though. I will track it down though. I have a feeling it's sitting outside of town somewheres. If I wasn't so concerned about getting my brothers/my old Shelby CSX back from a former friend, I would probably try to get it myself.Quote:

There's an '87 Shelby Lancer local to me, but the posted price is pretty high for a car that's been sitting half in primer for over 15 years.

(Looking for a 5spd GTS/Lancer) I've got one of each now, but I don't want to drive the Shelby Lancer regularly, and I don't know what it is about my GTS, but it's like the 'black hole of money'. I bought it YEARS ago knowing it needed a head gasket and body work, but was fine with that. Then, after:

PS pump
Steering Rack
SO MANY seals I can't count, but it still leaks!!!
Window 'tapes'
The tires are like 12 years old with MAYBE 200 miles on them...
