Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
Sounds similar to my one piece situation.LOL I was given a number of the black ones that have "better flow" at the pinch point, they mentioned they we prone to cracking. Not sure how prone they are to cracking.
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
I bet we're not the only ones. I've never seen one of the blow through, one piece, TII units crack, but it doesn't mean that it wasn't a thing. Frankly, with how thin I've made a couple of intakes now, I'd be surprised if that's the reason for it if true. Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
I ended up taking in a few for scrap. Got enough to pay for lunch!

If you are nice, I can let you adopt one of mine.

I was kind of hoping someone would want one for that purpose. It doesn't seem like many are going that route any longer.
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes

Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
Im interested depending on shipping im at 49452 im west michigan
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
Do you care which one you get?
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
I found a decent box in my weekly pile to go to the garbage, so the packaging should be next to free. I'll try to get a quote on this thing Saturday unless you're in a hurry. If anyone else wants one, please let me know. I'll post up the shipping quote so everyone has an idea of what this will run for the actual shipping.
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
I am interested in one or two for spares for my Multi-port N/A conversions. I'll message before I'm going to be out that way next time. What other free stuff that nobody wants do you happen to have if I may ask?
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
I have various ICs that people might want, but I honestly don't want the hassle of shipping those in a manner that won't dent up the fins. I've honestly thrown out a ton of stuff over the last couple weeks. A lot of fair, but not great condition trim pieces for various body styles. I've also thrown away pretty much all of the TI log stuff I had. Nobody has wanted it when offered for years, and I'll never use it...

Scrap metal
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
2 pieces of cardboard over the fins, with some tape wrapped around it protects the fins just fine. I've gotten 2 S60 intercoolers shipped that way from forum members over the years and they've arrived just fine.
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
Well, this was way more expensive to ship than I would have anticipated. The guy at the PO told my wife it would be $45 to CA, and a little cheaper if closer. It was just the intake in a cardboard box. I'm guessing these will be stuck in my basement at that price.
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
If it doesn't fit, don't ship USPS.
Use Fedex, it's slightly cheaper. Get quote online.
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
If I ask my wife to track down a Fedex location in the region, it'll literally cost me my life. She's the one kind enough to handle all shipping needs since she works in a town with those options. It's a miracle she's as willing to work with me on all of this as she is.
Re: Free: One Piece Intakes
You have this thing call internet, tracking down Fedex location takes less than 10 seconds. Why bother your wife?
Looks like you live in middle of a huge farming community, closest Fedex is 524 E Green St Suite 101, Champaign, IL 61820

Which is right near where my wife works. That's why she does all the shipping. I'm not driving 1 hour round trip when she's right there. That area is a total downer when it comes to traffic at all times of the year, let alone when classes are in session. We are going to be on break in a week. I could actually head up there at that time if someone wants one of these.
