Boots, what's your take on the shaft design? Should it have the support "nose", or will that limit options too much?
Personally, I like the idea of a shaft supported on both sides...

When I get the final design on the drums made up I will post up for people to get in on them. Like always the more we can get the cheaper they will be. The 904 frictions have a lot more friction material and we can get the good race frictions. I'm also testing a billet caged front planet that will change ratio to 2.45/1.45 ratio instead of 2.69/169.

Can someone take a picture of this support?
Yea known of my shafts or the Donato shafts I've seen have that. I've had one trans shove the input shaftout. I ended up tack welding the snap ring to the drum. I do think the tolerance to the drum could used tightened.
I heard back from John on the billet levers. What he has left are all 4.7 ratio.
Price is $38.95/ea + shipping.
Contact him directly.

Other information he provided:
"The only levers I have left are the 4.7 ratio. With these levers you can run a lower line pressure or leave the cushion spring in the servo so you do not have such a hard hit into second."
Ok, just checking in. Hopefully we hear back soon from Donato Engineering. He was just waiting for the estimate for the hardening.
Here is what we have in the group.

Ohh?? So now you are our point man! ;)
Sorry I was busy the last couple days with Dr appointments and working trying to get a trans back in the van.
Yes, John emailed me the other day, and here is what he said:
Wayne,
I talked to the heat treater and have all the numbers together.
The last batch I made was in 2012 and selling price was $395.00.
Due to material and processing increases since then the cost each for a 15 piece run will be $420.75ea.
These will be the same as before, 300 M steel, heat treated, with ground journals.
Please let your contacts know and looking forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks, John

Please reply here with any quantity changes and lets get this rolling!
Thanks!
I'm still in for one.

Probably soon. I'm just waiting to hear back from John how we need to manage it. Meaning if everyone just orders directly through him, or if I need to run point and get everyones payment.

Once we get enough confirmed and the order is going to be placed, is it okay to up your order? I want one for sure but I'm heavily leaning towards two because I want a trans built and ready on the shelf. I think by the time we're ready I'm going to opt for a second one.
Going to ask my buddy with the Consulier as well, as he's thinking of doing a 16V auto conversion.

I would say get yourself down for 2 now. That is why i want 3. I don't know if these will get made again or when, but if they need 10-15 to get a run, it won't be soon. And material costs always seem to go up.
So you want just one for yourself?
Tell your buddy to think swiftly, I am ready to get this rolling as soon as everyone confirms i will be giving John the final count.
Thanks brother!
