Just got my friend's 86 Turbo Z CS back together and running this weekend on the new engine. Next step is working on tuning it. Is the 86 2. T1 cal posted here ready to use, and is it an auto cal?
Has there been any progress on this? I really only use the CEL flash on knock feature of turbonator and would like something much closer to stock in that regard if possible. I'm making a chip for an 89 CSX and I haven't had much luck with TSBEC thus far.
I for one am very excited to see what uncompromising/optimized code can do for our cars...
I know I'm in for at least 2...

For me, they're just never generally as driveable as the stock based stuff. As you mention, idle can be very rich, and there are just all sorts of things you have to look out for when using it. For example, launch control box checked and speed sensor goes bad? Enjoy your lower RPM limit above 3mph. Good luck tracking that down the first time, especially if the sensor or connection is just intermittently bad.
I think you're looking for the TU/5digits thread.
If I remember correctly, Turbonators cals are too rich at part throttle and too lean at WOT right out the box. Turbonators cals are meant to be modify before use and you shouldn't use them if you don't intent to tune.
Someone with experience should go thru all the Turbonators cals and make them friendly for newbies. I can't do it since I don't even have car with LM/SMEC/SBEC.
for those that are having lean/rich/drivability issues, are you on a completely stock car (2-bar/33lb) and choosing the exact template for your car vs burning a straight stock cal and having the stock template turbonator cal be drastically different than the actual stock cal?

For some reason, I've always found that a stock cal modified the same way as anything with bells and whistles is better. This goes back to the Chem/blueberry days.
