Pre Delivery Inspection IIRC
Yes. We basically check stuff over, top off fluids and drive them 8-10 miles. Gotta make sure they get real nice and broken in. Especially SRT's.
PDIs were always fun. I remember 2 Lincoln LS sedan at over 105 side by side once. The good old days. Other than a couple issues here and there like most other makes, the Ds seem pretty solid.
We found out that a journey and minivan with 3.6l will outrun a challenger with 3.6l. The fwd 6 speed has pretty aggressive 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We also found out that a new viper hits 100 before you can say holy ----.
Thanks Note to self. When ordering a car make sure you are there when it rolls off the trailer so you can do the PDI yourself.
A customer can't do a pdi. The only exception is the viper. Only reason we got to drive it is because a salesman bought it. In the owners manual it says "brief wide open throttle pulls are necessary for proper engine break in". If we don't operate it in every way there is no way to tell if there is an issue with the car.
I couldn't agree more:lol:
22K miles now Pat and no problems. It's so much more car with the LMS tune (tho I've heard 'Torrie Tunes' are better) and full exhaust. I paddle shift the trans like 99% of the time to keep it above 3K RPMS:D. I do miss that extra 200 lbsft of torque that the Touareg TDI had tho:o
