Brake fix/upgrade.
I have a 1988 shelby z. I'm just starting on getting it on the road for the first time in 10 yrs. I got the engine to run. I'm curious what other later year brake systems will bolt up. I've read only 89 and 90 Daytonas and lebarons. Is that correct. I don't care if they are vented or not. Of course vented brakes are better. I just want it to stop lol.

Re: Brake fix/upgrade.
If you get the vented rears you need to upgrade to the 11" fronts as well unless you want to be sliding off the road a$$ first. You'll also need the MC and prop valve with that setup as well. Great upgrade, the 87-88 ShelbyZ rear brakes suck. 1st thing I remove.

Re: Brake fix/upgrade.
I'm looking for the correct parts to do the swap. I'll buy new rotors and pads and master cylinder and lines. I believe I just need the backing plate and the front spindles and probably the e brake hardware and I know I need the proportioning valve. Am I correct with what is necessary to do the swap if I'm buying new the calipers and pads and rotors and master cylinder?

sounds about right. You'll want the ebrake cables up to the connection points about 2-3 feet from the brakes too.
