Someone used to supply wiring diagrams/swap info and maybe recalibration for +40's etc.
Anyone have any info, I'm electronically challenged, with a poor memory!!.
Thanks

copied from my 86 factory manual dots around numbers are an attempt to draw the connector
That is the information you need, you can get the 12v, ignition, ground, illumination off the radio plug and get the rest from the LM or SMEC wiring.

That's the table you have to tune. Smaller number = bigger than stock injectors. Trial and error is what you will have to do to find the correct numbers for your car.

Appreciate the great info!!
Thanks

Re: 12 Button Traveler Mod
I've never owned a turbo car which could have come with the traveler and didn't have the connector tucked right where it should be. I don't think the traveler was even an option on my Lancer Shelby, but the connector was back there like it was looking for the traveler.
Re: 12 Button Traveler Mod
lol
save for the pain of finding a lancer one that should be your easiest install ever

It took only a few minutes. The fact that all of the bezels on the Lancers are held in place with Torx was what took longer than anything else.
Re: 12 Button Traveler Mod
cool
how long have you been wanting to put that in ?

I've got it in the car, but it doesn't work other than to display the wrong time and date. I wanted one in the car from the time that Reaper told me they existed. I think they're about as 80s as it gets.

Replace the buttons.
Re: 12 Button Traveler Mod
if it lights up with the clock and date it probably only needs the switch contacts replaced
there's a thread on it over at TD , I don't know if the same info is handy here
the contacts may only need cleaned too - radio tuner cleaner works for a lot of things but make sure it does NOT say cleaner / LUBRICANT on the can as the stuff with the lube will ruin the rubber the carbon contact thingy is embedded in
I learned this the hard way ruining a play station controller when radio shack dropped the straight cleaner and only carried the cleaner / lube stuff instead
the PS controllers fail when the buttons get full of finger oil and dust & crud - I'd expect the same for the traveler / navigator computers though I've taken a few of the switches apart to find the rubber part has decomposed
edit , correction I should have said switch and contact cleaner .. but without the lube

Re: 12 Button Traveler Mod
Thanks for the tips guys. It should be pretty easy to swap those out. I'll attempt that and report back. It'll probably be a while though.

I'm nearly sure that all pre-1990 G and J bodies are wired for it. My last two were stripper base models and both of them had the connector. My current car is a nearly-all-options ES turbo and that where my navigator currently resides.
The navigator itself was pulled from an 86 Daytona C/S ages ago (should have grabbed that whole damn car - still the only blue one I've ever seen).

Mine looked like it was just plasti-welded in 4-5 places. I just gently popped it off and it came off clean.
Re: 12 Button Traveler Mod
the blue ones are the best - I've had two , one TZ one CS
the TZ was a manual window no rear wiper car - lacking the base power group (windows, mirrors and wiper) it had no navigator connector on the harness
but it was the best riding and handling daytona I ever drove - I think the springs might change when the power group is added to the car as it would expectantly become heavier
- especially with a 72 pound 16 way driver's seat
(yeah , after carrying it about a half mile like a little native boy with a bucket of water on my head I took it home and weighed it
72 pounds .. ouch)
