Monster Mopar weekend @ Norwalk Sep.13-15
this place will be jammed packed with Mopar racecars. who's going? I know some of you may not show because of Hot Rod Drag Week. www.summitmotorsportspark.com
Shadow, bring your car and a tent. it would be awesome to see two fwd Chargers making 10 second passes and whopping on some V8's.
Re: Monster Mopar weekend @ Norwalk Sep.13-15
Ahw crap! I wasn't regreting my decision to not run the Charger till you went ahead and said that! lol
In all seriousness I wish you and who ever else ends up going all the best, but I must stick to my plan and give the Chager the one year "bye". I've already found time to fix the rear building and just last wknd I got a few friends together and fixed all the leaks in the shop roof! (my bro being one of those friends :))
Still need to side the whole house, change the windows, new septic field and 400amp service upgrade so my plate is full. Just trying to knock it off 1 step at a time :)
One of these days we Will make it down there, with a little luck, maybe next year!
Re: Monster Mopar weekend @ Norwalk Sep.13-15
Was in China last year and this year I'll be in India.
Have fun guys!
Re: Monster Mopar weekend @ Norwalk Sep.13-15
Summit is an awesome track. IDK if we will make it out to this or not due to drag week, so if we don't... show them v8's what's up!!

Who's all racing??
Will the BSX return??
Re: Monster Mopar weekend @ Norwalk Sep.13-15
the wife and I got there Saturday morning and set up camp. I decided to run sportsman, foot brake no electronics and they dropped the ET from 11.50 to 9.50 so I was good. got 2 time runs in.10.21 and a 10.16.
.........me..........other guy
dial..10.15...........12.11
r/t....142...............109
60....1.689..........1.584
330...4.448..........4.847
1/8....6.664..........7.634
mph...111.72........87.78
1000..8.563.........10.063
ET.....10.169........12.131
MPH..140.09........108.73
I lost by .0313. I got to work on my r/t
Sunday no time trials. won the first race, ran a 10.18 but lost the next time out 10.22.
had a good time but they charging way too much and may not go next year $150 no matter what class you are in and $50 to spectate for the week end. so it cost me $250 for me the wife and my grandson. so add in the cost to get there, food and race gas. I just can't afford it.
Importfaceoff $30 and alot better chance of winning some money.
Monster mopar is sucking the life out of us poor guys that love are Mopars.

Agreed! I had a good time there too, but I also thought the $50 admission was pretty steep. I know several guys from our chapter didn't come because of that. Not that $50 is the end of the world or anything, but for a non-judged entry, basically just to bring my car in the door and hang out for the weekend, I thought $50 was generous. I think last year it was $25 or $30.
As always, it was good to see Rob and Reeves mow down some V8's...
