Looking for the thread pitch for this, looking to possibly go with an aftermarket boost gauge that has its own sensor. Cannot find this checking the parts stores for the air charge temp sensor.

Nm, looks like it is 3/8" npt.
Yes, 3/8 NPT
That's good to know because I was looking at charge temp sensors trying to figure out one to use. I'd like to add one and see if that helps being able to have fuel adjust for intake temp.

Attachment 64277Attachment 64276Wayne if you end up using an open cage temp sensor like SMP AX-7 be sure to RTV the wires (not the probe) or cable tie them to side of cage using tiny cable ties. They have been known to rip wires right out of base of sensor on forced induction cars. I've had them fail within minutes of installing them before I learned they needed some reinforcement. Then of course engine just ingests the small wires and probe.

I relocated my air charge temperature sensor to the charge pipe after the intercooler, it really helped with heatsoak restart and other heatsoak related issue.
I used 33004280 caged sensor.

Harry, I like that style of open cage sensor better than the SMP AX-7. It looks like it might be a bit more protected than the other style. I've always thought the intake manifold was a poor place for the charge temp sensor for the reasons you stated. Glad to hear that relocating that sensor worked for you.

Thanks Todd,
I ran 25psi on 33004280 sensor for a few years with no issue.
Todd and Harry,
Thanks for your input. This is what scares me of using a charge temp sensor!
And I believe I have looked at both of the sensors pictured, and was leaning towards the one like Harry posted.
They should just make one that has small enough holes the element can't pass through.
