Engine Swap Vac Line Help Needed
Hi all. I am swapping a different 2.5 into my 92 Spirit ES. The new engine has a T2 garrett so some vacuum fittings are missing. I dont want to delete anything yet so that I can troubleshoot any issues better once I get it running.

Since there are no longer fittings at "2" I need a source to hook up to "3". Where is the best point to T in?

Can you drill and tap the compressor housing?
Re: Engine Swap Vac Line Help Needed
The turbo is in the car already but i probably could. Too bad i didnt check for this before the install. Oh well. I can feel the flat spot on the compressor where a fitting could go. So would i just drill till it pops through and put a fitting in? Simple as that?

I would't do it unless you can remove the compressor housing. You would drill it out, tap it for a pipe thread and then screw the fitting in.
