polished or powdercoated "SHELBY" valve cover
I found a 1 piece "SHELBY" valve cover and am looking for opinions on if I should polish it like my current valve cover or powdercoat it and sand the lettering and fins down to match my intake. Here's a couple shots of my engine bay:

Polish it.
Everybody does the black wrinkle thing to Shelby V/C's. Boring.

What you could do is keep the black wrinkle finish and then polish the fins and Shelby and polish the fins on the 2 piece as well, if you haven't already.

id say polished vc AND intake :) the intake will be easier to remove with the vc off i think. wonder how it would look polished with painted letters and stripes though... you could also polish that alt braket while your at it.
you have a very clean looking car and engine bay, you might as well show it off with polished parts, instead of the motor just blending in.

Added a poll for ya :thumb:
Hard choice.. like we talked yesterday... with everything else nicely polished in your engine compartment a polished one would fit right in, but if it's already in good shape, I'd probably just bolt it on...

Thanks buddy, It's coated already but in pretty rough shape so I would get it blasted anyway. That's why there is such a debate since I'm not sure if I should coat it or polish it. Not to mention that I've never seen a polished "Shelby" valve cover before.
