I knew when I saw you asking for rear axle weight a while back, something very cool was coming our way.

Oh, and thanks Shadow, for sending me a link to coil overs that led to the VW shocks.

Looks great Warren and taking weight out where it counts! Hope to see you at SDAC-29 this year!
Warren, you sure have a sexy rear end!;)
AJ, not sure about you sometimes. OK, I got it:love:
The Fargo track is under new ownership. While they can't Eff-up the air, they may not groom the track as good as the former owner; ala Gimli.

Forgot to factor in the weight savings of not having the emergency brake cables and pedal-ratchet assembly. I haven't removed and weighed that stuff yet. Maybe two lbs.?
Why bother with rear brakes at all my friend, reliant didn't have them ;-)
Back of the car was so light I was know to get the back tires off the ground time to time during moments of reverse weight transfer.
Gary, I've got to pass NHRA chassis cert., Four wheel brakes are mandatory on a door car. Also I do stationary burnouts, I need rear brks. to hold car in water box. I think I will have a hard time getting the wilwood prop. valve to dump enough pressure as to not slide the rear wheels in a hard stop. I ordered the least aggressive pads they offer.
Fair enough though with so little weight out back (Reliant was 150 pounds on each wheel) rear brakes would be all but useless. I was thinking of adapting something from a motorcycle if need be. Or a 10 speed.
I'll let Mike Marra tell the tale about Cecil and the traps =)
glad to see that you decided to go for it. It will be interesting to see were you go from here. with out a doubt your car is a work of art that works. :thumb:
