I know it's kind of a bad time to ask for more customers when we are already dealing with some component issues. But there were a couple people late to the party so i need to try and order a couple Nextion displays for them.
If anyone else wants in on the 2nd batch, (which i would estimate approx 8 weeks or more with Christmas upon us), I can order your display at the same time. Not sure if I can get the same discount with a small order, but i hope so.
Just put your order in, and/or contact me. I'd like to get the display order in before the holidays get too hectic.
Thanks.
Enclosure update:
I worked with one of the enclosures to fit the areas that still weren't right.
The display connector slot is easier, and i can make that look pretty good.
I just needed to take a little off the bottom of the slot.

The correction to the top panel however is going to look s bit less aesthetic. I need to shift the entire slot up and over. I will try to remove a bit less with the dremel and hand file more, to try to keep a narrow rectangle, or as much as i can.
It is going to be a bit time consuming.
Attachment 61785
If anyone would rather make these corrections themselves, let me know and I'll leave it untouched.
If not, i will have to fit each one with a board and arduino, and preferably the one that will get delivered. There are some slight assembly differences with the connector and terminals due to soldering.
Assembling the enclosure and mounting the device will be performed by the customer, unless you make other arrangements with me.
The enclosure acrylic has some protective film, that is why the enclosure looks opaque brown.
As far as the bluetooth module issue, we are still working to resolve this. We will most likely have to replace the modules
If you have any questions or problems, comments or issues, please let me know. Thanks.
You can leave mine untouched
You can leave mine untouched as well.
Ok, thanks guys. I'll make a note for both of yours.
You can leave mine untouched also. I can modify anything that needs it.
go ahead and modify mine as needed.
you can mod mine if you wanna.
thanks
Brian
Thank you for keeping us updated Wayne.
Have a milestone update!
For tomorrow's mail:
Attachment 61827
At least there are a few orders that can go out in time for Christmas.
Technically that is the first 3.5 orders.
Joel, your DIY kit and mega will be shipped separately from Miles, but your display will be on the way.
For the others in group1, still working on resolving the bluetooth module issues. Hopefully we will receive new modules soon.
cool :)
I just ran out of wire, and will need to order more to complete a recent order. Everyone who ordered wire, they have already been made up and set aside.
I spent some time today double checking everything up to this point and organized the remaining orders.
If anyone is considering the extended length display harness or the communication wire, now is the time. There are alot of orders without any wire, or display harness. So hopefully those folks aren't surprised when they have to sort that stuff out on their own.
I'll order wire this week, so if you want some, visit the order page

Also, just a heads up: you will need a 2GB sd card, formatted to fat32 for the mpscilink to function.
Also, your display will need a CR1220 battery for the RTC.
Again, if you have any questions let me know.
