Clutch pedal goes to floor
Was driving my 91 Spirit RT home from work and the clutch pedal went to the floor. Luckily I was able to get it off the road without getting rear ended. Had it towed to a buddy's shop and am just wondering what I'm up against. Rock Auto is out of stock on replacement clutch cables...
Re: Clutch pedal goes to floor
There are plenty on E-Bay, $26-ish.

Turboshelbys is parting one right now.
Re: Clutch pedal goes to floor
Is the clip and bushing still on the cable end at the transmission?

That's the real question. Whenever I break a cable, that's where they break. I've taken to safety wiring them to the lever on the trans.

That's a good idea. The loop on the clip makes it look like it was designed for that, heh.
Re: Clutch pedal goes to floor
The question is did the cable break or did the clutch break? I have had clutches break and wedge the friction material between the disc and pressure plate... So does the trans end of the cable pull out?
