Harry I'm really sorry about this for you. No one should have to deal with this junk like this, I hope this turns out well given that you've now gotten in touch with him.
To anyone in the Detroit area, is this guy part of any groups/SDAC chapters up there? He is from that area, correct?
He isn't in he Detroit area. If he was I would offer my services.

I've always been skeptical of him and this makes me more so.
I'm a little slow, yet every video was hit with a separate message.

Good question! A customer sent Mike a cylinder head and money on April 23, 2012. Was told the work should be done by Aug/Sep of 2012. Customer called multiple times and left multiple message since there is no progress. In around May 2013, he changed his mind, cancel the order and send the head back. The customer called Mike and let him know his desire, Mike said the head is in pieces and he got no time to work on it, gotta go to this event, gotta be at that place, bleh, bleh, bleh. It is now August 2014, still nothing. At this point, the customer just wants his head and money back. Mike, please send the money and head back.
I am just very thankful that every member I've ever dealt with has done right by me right now. This is a pretty darn good forum. I would hate for this to happen to me, especially after packing up and sending a cylinder head of all things. This totally sucks to hear about, but I have no experience with MPGMike.
Hope you get parts/money back Harry.
Mike sent an email with picture of the head being worked on last Sunday.
It's not exactly what I wanted (I just want the head and cash back at this point) but progress is progress.
Hopefully, he'll follow it thru and finish everything so I can have the head back before this year ends.
So he's doing that after you told him to just refund and send the head back?
Good grief.
Shady, shady, shady...
Is there a date stamp on the photo he sent you?

I have met Mike in person. He is a good guy. Even I had screwed up on deals. No one is perfect. Hang in there Mike!
I used to be friends with a guy who was "a great guy" in person, but sucked as a business man. he tried starting his own business, it took off, I even helped with build some of the things he sold as a friend and only got paid with an occasional dinner with him at a restraunt. After a few years, his business folded and he went bankrupt because while he was a good salesman, and "great guy in person", his lack of follow through sucked, and he was constantly robbing peter to pay paul in order to get parts sent to people who ordered them. I personally witnessed him on the phone with a customer telling them their parts were delayed because they were at the powder coating shop waiting on an order of the color they wanted to come in, when in reality the parts were sitting at his feet in a box and he hadn't even talked to the powdercoating shop yet.
Congrats, this doesn't condone his actions with Harry's cylinder head. And if you still have all these positive emotions and support for someone who has handled the transaction in this way, then your credibility is worth about as much as his is on this site now, which is zero. It would be below zero if possible.
