Well its from a new car, So im going to take a stab at 2007 dodge Caliber not sure what liter they use
Not a Caliber, but it is a 2.4!
srt-4
It's the World Engine that they use in the Caliber and Jeep Compass.
^ agreed the Plastic Intake gives it away.
Coil on plug now eh? I've been through 11 of those on my DD 02 Passat 1.8T in 85K miles. Since about #4 I have kept a spare in the trunk and every time without warning that the car starts to run on 3 cyl's, I just start swapping roadside till all four fire again:o Dealership is "baffled" They claim 'no other Passats are haveing this problem' Yeah right, is that why they did a recall on every 1.8T coil pack two years ago... Still you think they would give me one coil at a time at my regular dealership so I can fix the car? Nope, instead they double the price (from $21. to $38.) for the same F'in part this year:mad:   Other than that. a very reliable car:o
It's the Caliber SRT-4 2.4L GEMA engine.
isnt that open deck? :(
Compass 2.4 NON TURBO...

Compass would make for a better sleeper with those innocent round headlights ;)
Actually John - not the SRT4 engine, look at the back of the engine no turbo back there. :DQuote:

Fleckster ,will the world engine bolt up to the same trans at the older I4s?
Humm it has cam on bucket, and a oil pump integrated into the balance shafts different. Is it me or do the rods look like toothpicks.

I haven't investigated bolting up an older trans to the world engine. Without pulling prints and looking it over, couldn't confirm or deny this. Gut feeling says it will not work , but i'm not 100% sure.Quote:
