Crankshaft was made by Farndon in England as I was told one of two made. The crankshaft is 10lb lighter than a forged 2.2 crankshaft. It has never been used. Crankshaft is essentially a common block part. Convert your 2.2 to a faster revving 2.0.
Thank you,
Steve Menegon
Photo added. Crank weighs 38lb.

Na, AJ has one he hasn't used yet either. Hey Steve, it's been a while! Good to see a post from you.
I think many of us have thought about selling off parts we know deep down inside we won't be using in this one lifetime we each get. Then there are some hoarders that have enough for several lifetimes... You guys know who you are! :p
I know, I know, I'm a good one to talk, but at least I'm down to one body style now.

It has been a while! I kept alive in my mind I would complete this project, but my honey made me realize it wasn't happening. Don't get me wrong, not through telling me I was done, but rather her questions let me come to the decision to clear out what I can.
The rods are already gone along with some other items. More to come as time allows.
Steve M.

We are all doing well the kids keep getting bigger by the day and I’m fortunate to be making some small progress on my projects. It’s great to see you posting. I hope you’re able to make it to SDAC this year.

Warren,
I saw your name come up in the comment section of one of Dave Vizard's vids and thought the same!

Dreams . . . . I've got one about a 2.0 Rampage at El Mirage and Bonneville
Re: Billet Short Stroke Common Block Crankshaft
Has this been stored laying flat or standing on end?

That doesn't matter with our cranks. Five main bearings in 16" long cranks; it's not going to bend. Do you think ANY cranks were machined, and shipped upright when made? With that said, I'm sure Steve knows how to store a crankshaft. Steve carefully stored it on it's side, under high humidity, fluctuating temps, and supported by salt blocks. (hehe).

I'm glad I didn't see this crank. I'd be even more broke than I am now.
I'm pretty sure I have mentioned all of the old greats between David's videos and Richard Holdener's videos and streams.

Re: Billet Short Stroke Common Block Crankshaft
Hey Brian! It's my actual name like on Facebook(for now). Mark Lucas. I'm from Alton, Illinois right across the Mississippi from St. Louis. I was born at Missouri Baptist hospital as first year G24 turbo cars rolled off the line at St. Louis Assembly South about a mile away. I've been obsessed with L bodies since I was a little kid when my sister got her first car, an '80 TC3, and I grew up in an '87 Voyager my Mom bought brand new. I haven't been doing too much besides schoolwork lately. I'm working on getting a programming and development degree. Secretly, I'm hoping to find a unicorn. Some person who knows assembly code like the back of their hand, but who can also teach it well and is willing to communicate in depth about it. It's a stretch since the program mainly covers CSS and Java, but you never know. Sorry, Steve! Enough derailing/thread mining.
:focus:
Re: Billet Short Stroke Common Block Crankshaft
that would be cool to have easy access to someone who cut their teeth on assembly code that isnt wicked busy lol.
ill look out for you on the next holdener stream.
Brian
Re: Billet Short Stroke Common Block Crankshaft
Don't look too hard. I will be swamped between schoolwork gardening and helping my wife do festivals. I'll be in between semesters from August 1st through 14th. You'll definitely see me then. I'll also be tearing through back burnered projects as fast as I can before the fall semester starts.
Re: Billet Short Stroke Common Block Crankshaft
