92 Daytona Expansion Valve
I am properly converting the AC on my 92 from R12 to R134a and I just picked up a new expansion valve today. The kit came with new metal crush gaskets and also O-rings. Why are there o-rings, I can not recall anywhere in my lines where O-rings are used except for at the compressor (TIII) Can someone tell me what these o-rings are for? Are these used on a different car that uses different lines?
Here is the part I picked up today:

Installing a new drier and that uses its own crush gaskets that came with it. So it is not used there on my car at least.
Re: 92 Daytona Expansion Valve
Most of the time, the gasket sets are pretty generic to cover several model years. I know when I put the new compressor and lines in my 89 Daytona, I had a bunch of left over crush gaskets and O-rings. I'm sure they are just extras.. I wouldn't worry about it. Use what you need, and discard the rest...
