kinda reminds me of the dead end "hammer" pipe that you add to the plumbing for water taps in the house that stops the pipes banging when you turn the tap off
There are a few guys on the ram truck forums that have used a J pipe with great results. To the point there are vendors that are selling them pre-made for the trucks
So you don't have to dig, somebody on there posted these 2 formulas to figure out how long to make the tube:
For speed of sound = 343 m/s
Length [in.]=405118.3/(RPM*#Cylinders)
For speed of sound = 400 m/s
Length [in.]=472441.2/(RPM*#Cylinders)
