Difference between TIII SBEC and SBECII
I am going to be socketing a TIII ecu for a flashable module, my buddy gave me the ECU and we are not sure if it is SBEC 1 or 2, Is there any easy way to see which ECU I am working on? I pulled the board out of the case and counted the available pins to connect the socket, I counted 32 pins, so I feel pretty good that this one is an SBEC, since the SBECII has 36 pins, this will be going into a 91 Spirit R/T and this is a spare ECU not designated for a car now so we don't remember what car it came out of.
Are there any visual differences? I cannot read the actual chip as it is buried in potting compound.
