Tyler, I saved my junk till i got a house and I am very happy. Selling it for a down payment that you should easily have saved if you had driven driven a beater is a sad way to go. You never once even pushed this car except almost off a cliff

Got a few more things done on the R/T today. My blinker switch has been struggling for years, so I finally got around to pulling it apart. All the contacts were filthy, so I cleaned em off with a q-tip and some lacquer thinner. Blinks work like a charm now. Am I the only who procrastinates small jobs on your car for years only to realize how easy and satisfying it is when you actually do it! What was I waiting for?!
The other big job I got done was shuffling my gauges around and finally installing a wideband. I installed the boost gauge and an AF gauge in the car around 2002. I later added a mechanical oil pressure gauge in 2005, and then I added the egt gauge in 2009. My wiring was a huge mess after all that, so I ripped a lot of it out and started over. I hate wiring, but it felt nice to get it finally do it right. I scored this Innovate wideband out of a junk yard for about $8.
Next week I'm going to get some new tires put on it and start driving it. The next project will be a walbro, +40s, and a stage 3 cal. :)
Cool looks good I installed a wideband this week too, but I wish it was only $8 +40s and some some more boost will be fun.

Good news and bad news with the R/T. Its now registered for the first time in five years. As I was walking out of the dmv I watched some ------- trying to pull his truck into the parking spot next to my R/T. So he pulls in and is literally 6" from my drivers door. As he pulls further into the spot he cranks his tires towards my car and just rams his front tire into my fender. As I'm standing there in disbelief I watch the guy hop out of his truck and stroll towards the dmv. So I yell at the guy and ask what the hell he's doing. He literally had no idea he'd hit my car! So I tell him he hit my car and he just stares at me with this confused look. Long story short, the guy is an idiot and dented my fender in. Luckily it's not too bad, I think the dent will just pop out. But I'm not going to mess with it until he cuts me a check for the damage. I had the police come out and write a report, luckily the guy seems like he's going to cooperate. Moral of the story? People are idiots.
So he was late for work at the DMV then?
I've been using the R/T as a daily for the last few weeks and the car seems to run great. It's been in the high 90's here and I have started to get a bit nervous about the stock radiator hoses which I have never replaced. After 25 years I figured it was about time. I'm surprised that all these are still available brand new. Turns out the radiator hoses felt just fine, but the heater core hose that comes off the bottom of the water pump was absolutely toast. I'm actually quite surprised it's lasted as long as it has.
Nothing like a TIII powered daily driver! I'm enjoying the hell out of my Spirit R/T in the swampy summer we're having her in Jersey.
Congrats! I so want to drive my Spirit R/T again. It's going to be a while, though.
