Looking for a TU competition flywheel. If you have one shoot me a PM.
Thanks
As in Aluminum? If so, I do have one that I would be willing to sell
No not Al. It's the 12 lb cast version.
I believe that pic is TU's new version that (I think) Chris first posted up sometime last year
-as opposed to the ones with all the holes drilled in them
I think the same thread said there may or may not be a ballance issue with SOME of the early ones but the new style was being double checked
I believe the new ones are also new-new as opposed to reworked old flywheels
above info may or may not be correct - but usually my bear trap memory serves pretty well
um, if this is for the charger I might consider a new in the box one just to be sure it remains a flywheel and not pieces of a flying saw blade
OCD says magnaflux it
personally our aluminum case transmissions scare the crap out of me when I think of the mechanic at the dealer I used to go to
- his diff pin , or a piece of it went through the bellhousing and rad
I said to him good thing it didn't go the other way
in one of my recient posts I mentioned I've saved a nice big piece of 16x16 3/16 steel plate for the floor under my peddels ...
Was actually back in 2015 that I first saw that pic posted.
Not for the Charger. Charger already has a flywheel that will most likely remain for the life of the car. If it ever does get changed up it would only be to go twin disc ;)
This is for another build and I was hoping to find one new if possible. Thought maybe someone had bought one and it's been sitting cuz plans changed ect ect.
TU has none in stock and timeline for any getting made is indefinite. If not for that there would be one on the way as we speak.
2015?
wow if time's going that fast I must be getting old ...
Tell me about it!
I believe it will be 6 years this fall since the Charger has run at a track..........
I have a STEEL flywheel I bought years ago for a long forgotten project, it's TIII but I can't see how that would affect it's use in a non-TIII motor? Anyway, it's lighter than stock but I'd have to weigh it to get you an actual number. It's sexy FoSHo:eyebrows: It was also expensive, $550+shipping(not sure about the cost going north of the border) Any interest at those kind of numbers Rob? Not gonna dig it out if its a non starter for you...
Thanks AJ, but was hoping to stick around 300USD range. (not even sure what the Comp flywheels sold for?) Unfortunately with the CND $ @ .75 cents even 300US = 400.00CND Without shipping lol
So $800.00 CND is def beyond the scope of this build. For that amount I would mod the trans and slap in a complete ACT set-up like the Charger with 11lb flywheel.
