VIN check for a 1987 Shelby Lancer
I am planning to pick up a 1987 Shelby Lancer tomorrow, I believe the car is authentic as the emissions sticker has the "CS" logo, not the "Chrysler" sticker and the car seems to have all the Shelby parts. I know someone has or had the list of all the Shelby Dodge cars, if they could check the VIN I would be very thankful.
The VIN is 1B3BX68E5HN429965
Thanks, Paul B

Dash plaque # should be 312. An automatic trans car, w/leather interior is how it left the factory. The list doesn't show it going to a dealer, but says it was a Chrysler Corp car in Whittier CA. This could mean it remained unsold, or that it was retained at Whittier for some corporate reason.

Thank you Barry, this information matches the car. With any luck, I will have the car in my possession this time tomorrow.
Thanks, Paul B

Mr Shelby's personal car??:wow1:
For a few years I had his secretary's (Sue M.) Shelby Lancer #748. She had it til about 5 years after the Putnam plant closed. I like to think he drove it some or maybe went to lunch with her in it a few times:o
