Fuel cell with external walbro 255 wiring
Trying to narrow this down.... 1985 glht
The stock in tank pump has been deleted as well as the stock secondary inline pump. I replaced it with a walbro 255 external pump (yes it is very low beneath the fuel cell) the issue I am running into is it will prime but it will push fuel. Any ideas?
Re: Fuel cell with external walbro 255 wiring
I'm confuse, are you using a aftermarket fuel cell or stock tank?
Re: Fuel cell with external walbro 255 wiring
I also run a fuel cell and a pair of 255's (twin engine car) I used the factory wiring to control a relay that gets direct battery power through a 10 gauge wire for the walbro pump fuel pump. Mine primes and works like factory. How is your wired?

I used the power and ground from the stock secondary pump and just tranfered that to the walbro.

It is getting fuel up to the afpr and not getting past that. So I switched the afpr back to the stock fpr and still not getting past it into the rail

Stock fuel rail and regulator?
Sounds like you are using the fuel return line as fuel feed.
Re: Fuel cell with external walbro 255 wiring
should be fuel pump , filter, injectors (rail) THEN regulator back to tank

It will prime, but it will push fuel? That doesn't make sense.
