Anyone know the part number of the stock torque converter for a 1989 2.5 Turbo minivan?
I’ve found the answer on page 188 here:

4471967 superseded by 4713160. Currently available from Chrysler parts.
did they do any updates to the later part number version like they did to the neon converter? like roller bearing vs bronze or brass or whatever ive heard they changed from.
The discription does not say.
i cant imagine they would. :)
i remember that the neon converter was tight and good for a stock turbo.
i had 2 neons go 200k miles on a stock converter/trans (97-98). i never got close to that on old school td trannies or tbi ones even.
anyway, enough of my typical spam lol.

I'd be surprised if that the part number hasn't been superseded and consolidated a bunch of times by now, assuming it's still available.
It's PN 4713160.
Still available from Chrysler. I ordered one this morning.
You were too fast, last time I used a 6cyl convertor in Woody and liked the couple hundred extra of stall. I mean *if* you hadnt ordered one already:p Busy weekend:)
That figures. I’ll remember for next time.
According to the Mopar Parts guy, I bought the last one, so V6 converters May be the way to go in the future.
Any spec on what the 2 stall speeds were on those parts, the turbo replacement conv and the v6 replacement?
From what I can find both the V6 and 2.5 Turbo converters stall speeds are about 3000rpm. Most places ilst the same part number for both.
Chrysler dealer dropped the ball on my NOS one. I may have to go with an aftermarket unit.
I never did verify that the one AJ sourced me was a higher stall, he did say it was the V6 unit. It felt like a higher stall to me but I didn't do the brake test before and after so pretty subjective test really.
