finding the correct size to hunt down might be easier if you could find the mopar parts listing & diagram for the battery tray assembly
"thread clip" or "U nut"
Re: Battery Tray Bolt Clip
Thanks. I'll see if I can find a PN somewhere.
Re: Battery Tray Bolt Clip
bettin' Marty might be able to help with that info ..
Re: Battery Tray Bolt Clip
Well, that took surprisingly little time. PN:6101283 Looks like they're still available from these guys. https://www.moparpartsgiant.com/part...tery_tray.html
Now to find out if they remained the same for all the years. I bet they did.
Re: Battery Tray Bolt Clip
Re: Battery Tray Bolt Clip
a little trick I do whenever I pull the battery out
battery retainer clamp thingy and the nut both go on lowest one of the strut mount studs sticking up from the strut tower.. no lost nut , no clamp bracket stuck under the battery when I drop it back in
and if you remember to use the lowest stud .. no dent in the hood
Re: Battery Tray Bolt Clip
Now that I read this again and understand what you were talking about.
Those two clip nuts/u-nuts are metric M8-1.25 and any decent hardware store should have them in the nuts n bolts aisle.

Whether chrysler, auveco, mcmaster, hardware store, ect they are all made by Tinnerman.

Thanks a ton. I ordered the parts from the link I posted just because I wanted to make sure to get the right thing the first time. I'll definitely go with them the next time if they're all the same though. Thanks again.
