WTB: Bad Main Shafts

It's that time of year again. I would like to buy some bad intermediate/main shafts for pretty much any of our manual transmissions. This year my classroom award will be gold scepters crafted from bare main shafts. If anyone has some they don't want, let me know. They don't have to be bad, but I'm looking to expend very, very little money on these. Let me know what you have.

I found the worn 525 shaft I mentioned previously.

It's still loaded so too heavy to ship but I'll look into getting it stripped.

Not sure if I can do it 1 handed so we'll see what happens, might have to take it to a shop.

Its yours if you need it, just give some advance warning when you know your time frame.

Thanks Randy. I'd gladly pay the shipping on the whole thing. Don't worry about stripping it unless you want the synchros off of it or something. Let me know the shipping whenever it's good for you. If I get it in the next month to 6 weeks, it seems like it would be plenty enough time.

I'm going to try and strip it, Canadian shipping is very high.

The difference in weight/shipping would be substantial.

I took it to a shop to get the bearing removed so its ready to pack and ship.

I'm too weak, frail and uncoordinated to get it off myself in my home shop.

I think I have your address after sending you a T-I cover last year.

I'll sent it by the weekend via USPS if you don't mind.

Thanks again to both Randy and Adam. Both shafts have arrived and I can't wait to get them spray painted insta-gold to really set off the appearance. I think these will be my best awards yet. I think I might throw the 568 shaft in the lathe at school and clean up the end a bit. That should be a fun and quick project for my new found skills. I'll post up the final product and hopefully get a shot of the kids with them this year.
