Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
If I'm not in New Mexico I'll be there!
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
I vote for 3 places if we bowl:
Western bowl off of 132nd and L
MapleWood 102nd and maple
westlanes 72nd and dodge.
All are fine with me.
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
The least ghetto of the three :)
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
Well that leaves Westernbowl or Maplewood.
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
Western bowl is fine with me because it's closer. I'm off to work until midnight. Can someone call the 2 places and see if there are open lanes on Sunday? Lots of league play I would assume.
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
Western is 10:00-4:30, then 8pm to close
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
How does noon work for everyone? Assuming we are bowling.
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
If Adam goes (and can give me a ride :)) I'll be there

Sorry, gonna be tied up this weekend.
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
I believe I should be able to make it. I wonder if we should call to see if we can reserve some lanes. I remember that was an issue with Maplewood the last time we bowled, that all the lanes were booked, and why we ended up going to Kelley's Hilltop Bowl (the "Ghetto" place!!! :) ).
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
we should have a gag gift exchange. Package up any radom TM part and bring it. We could also have one of those exchanges where you can choose to steel someone elses gift or pick from the pile.
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
I don't think I have any random parts. I don't hoard like you guys do. All my parts I need!.

What do you mean hoard?! WE need them too.....we are driving turbo-mopars!
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
How about just make it an automotive-related gift. Maybe $10 or less, or just something automotive-related you have on hand (like a TM part!). The gift exchanges I've participated in usually just put all the gifts (wrapped or in a bag) in a pile, and each person randomly draws a numbered slip of paper (sequential numbered slips made up before-hand). The person who gets #1 goes first, #2, second, and so on. The first person has to pick a random gift from the pile, but the subsequent participants have the choice of either picking an unknown, unopened gift from the pile, or "stealing" one from someone who has already opened theirs (and everyone has seen what they received). If a gift is "stolen", the person who lost it gets to then either pick another unopened gift from the pile, or steal someone else's opened gift. The next turn then goes to the person who has the next number, until everyone has picked (or stolen) a gift. Limits are placed on how many times a gift can be "stolen". It's a lot of fun!
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
I called Western Bowl, and they said they don't reserve lanes. He said it generally isn't very busy on Sundays at noon-time though, and shouldn't be a problem to get one or two lanes then. Assuming we want to also do a gift exchange, should we just bring the gifts to the bowling alley, and do it there after we bowl? Or possibly go to a restaurant afterward, and do the exchange there?
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
I'm working 6 days a week and Sunday is my only day off. Church in the morning, 12:00 bowling and have to be back at church by 6:00. Not much time for family. I'll have to pass on anything after bowling. I say we bring it to the alley. I'll see if I can find something. At least car related.
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
Living Nativity got shut down. Too cold for the animals. Shooting for next weekend now. At least I will have a little time with the family tonight.
Re: New LinOma-Bluffs Thread
Who's still planning on coming to the bowling/ gift exchange meet today? I hope we can still get a good turnout, despite the weather.
I'm pretty much all out of TM parts (unless you count the Shelby CSX Mobile One engine oil plaque, which I really didn't want to part with!). However, I did find what I think is a very nice gift, for well under $10. For those of you who like getting hints about gifts, it is automotive-related, and even partially Shelby Dodge related! You'll have to show up to the meet to find out what it is. Who knows, you could even be the lucky recipient (unless it's stolen from you!!!) :eyebrows:
