SMEC flashing questions.

The 85 GLHT I picked up this weekend has a flashable setup on it. I tried to connect with D-Cal but I'm having some problems and was hoping someone here can help.

I was told the car is currently running a "stock" s60 cal. I connected the serial interface to my laptop and brought up d-cal. I turned on the power interupt power, then selected connect in the flash menu (I've tried every combo of 16, 32, and com port), once prompted I turn the ignition to run and then click ok; but I always get an "ack" error about the ecu not communicating. What settings should I have for my com port? Anyone else had this issue and solved it? Thanks.

I figured it out, stupid mistake of course.

So what was it? Maybe somebody can learn something.

I had a disconnected wire.

Funny enough it stopped responding again a few weeks ago (I checked the wires this time) so I'm once again trying to diagnose the issue. I'll post back if I figure it out.
