WTB: Daytona/LeBaron Auxiliary CD Player (and cable)
Hello. I have been looking for an auxiliary CD player for a while now, and I've been coming up short. I'm looking for the in-dash unit from the Daytona and LeBaron that connects to the circular DIN connector in the back of the tape deck of the old style radios. I need the cable too.
I need this because I've found a bluetooth audio development kit, and I want to use the aux. CD as a base for a bluetooth add-on for our cars. I had thought that the aux. CD player had a way to interrupt the operation of the radio to switch to the external input (i.e. insert disc and play) but I've still not been able to verify. I already have 2 of the 5-band eq. radios with the circular DIN connector, so now I just need the other parts.
I'm on a tight budget, so please don't be offended if I don't buy based on your offering price. I've been spending my money on my other project (over in the projects section).
I'm located in MI (48328). Please PM me.
Thanks!
Jeff
Re: WTB: Daytona/LeBaron Auxiliary CD Player (and cable)
You should be able to buy any generic 8 din male to male cable to recreate the original Mopar cable.
The 8 pin din cable can be used to interrupt the operation of the radio for an external input. Details can be found here:

A generic 8 pin din cable that has an unfinished end can be purchased here:

I have lots of the CD players, cables, bezels and the mounting brackets.
